preternatural #2 notes

Preternatural #1 was made with our any premeditation. I endeavoured to make #2 in a similar manner, but stopped between each colour to make a record of the process. The first 3 images show the basic vessel canvas. The black Sugru holding the base in place. This mesh has a wider weave than #1, so the Surgu extrudes almost too easily through the mesh. The interior of the vessel is quite crude, while the exterior is luscious. I have oxidised the vessel on completion, as I feel this takes away the fact that it’s copper, and suggests the preternatural feel.
