The creating process feels visceral, akin to squeezing organic energy into an inert and lifeless form. Physically I have worked with pigmented silicone, which are forced into woven mesh and coiled wire frameworks. When set the silicone is slightly flexible and silky to touch. My hope is that when wearing one of these neckpieces, a subtle spark of this ‘living’ energy will shift and is make itself known to the wearer.
